HARLEQUIN — GEMSTONE COMPOSITION HUMIDOR
A sculptural humidor composed of 9 natural gemstones: malachite, lapis lazuli, tiger eye, red jasper and turquoise, structured within a mahogany obsidian grid and framed with black obsidian elements. The composition is accented with gold inlays, bringing a refined balance between mineral depth and geometric precision.
Each element is individually cut, selected and assembled by hand. The natural variations of the stones ensure that no two pieces are ever identical, making every object inherently unique.
The construction follows a meticulous process where each segment is precisely aligned within the mahogany obsidian structure, creating a seamless composition that merges material richness with architectural clarity.
The GEMSTONE HARLEQUIN composition is structured as a modular geometric system, where each gemstone segment is integrated into a unified grid rather than applied as surface decoration. This approach creates a balanced composition defined by proportion, contrast and material rhythm.
The interaction between multiple gemstones introduces variation in color, texture and optical depth, while the obsidian framework provides structural continuity and visual discipline. Gold inlays act as precise connectors, reinforcing the geometry and defining transitions between materials.
Each element is positioned to maintain alignment within the overall structure, resulting in a controlled composition where mineral diversity is organized through architectural order. This positions the GEMSTONE HARLEQUIN humidor as a collectible object defined by material complexity and compositional precision.
THE ARTISTRY OF MATERIALS
Royal Blue Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli, the gemstone variety of lazurite, has been prized since antiquity and was once referred to as “sapphire” by early civilizations. The finest quality reveals a deep royal blue tone, often enriched with natural pyrite inclusions that create a striking contrast between rich blue and golden highlights.
Tiger’s Eye (Gold & Blue)
Tiger’s Eye is a protective and grounding stone, known for its silky luster and shifting bands of color. Variations range from golden yellow to deep blue tones, with natural полосчатая структура creating a dynamic and layered visual effect.Red Jasper
Red jasper is characterized by rich tones from deep red to terracotta brown, often resembling natural rock formations. Each stone features unique patterns formed by nature, valued for both its visual depth and material density.
Obsidian (Black & Mahogany) — Volcanic Glass, Armenia
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed by rapidly cooled lava. Sourced from Armenia, it has been used since prehistoric times. Its deep black or mahogany оттенки and glass-like structure give it a sharp, refined appearance.Jade
Jade is a dense and highly valued stone, known for its smooth texture and deep green tones. It has been used for centuries in decorative and artistic objects.
Turquoise
Turquoise is a blue to green mineral, often featuring natural veining. Its distinctive color and texture have made it one of the most recognizable decorative stones.Malachite
Malachite is recognized for its vivid green color and flowing banded patterns. Each piece displays a unique natural composition, creating a strong visual identity.
