The Obsidianus Pyramis cigar ashtray is conceived as a monumental geometric composition built from a grid of elevated obsidian pyramids intersected by luminous crystal lines. Its architectural structure transforms the surface into a rhythmic sculptural landscape where light, shadow and reflection interact through strict geometric repetition.
Designed for four cigars, the ashtray integrates recessed rests directly into the pyramidal composition, preserving continuity throughout the object while maintaining a strong monolithic identity. The recessed central basin emerges naturally from the surrounding geometric structure, reinforcing the sensation of depth and symmetry.
Crafted from black obsidian, silver obsidian or mahogany obsidian, the surface reveals different optical characteristics depending on the selected volcanic glass. Black obsidian creates dense mirror-like contrast against the illuminated crystal grid, silver obsidian introduces metallic directional reflections beneath the polished surface, while mahogany obsidian reveals layered reddish-brown volcanic formations enriched by warm mineral depth.
The red crystal inlays introduce a controlled luminous tension throughout the composition, emphasizing the strict geometry of the pyramidal structure while creating a visual dialogue between darkness and light.

Obsidian (Volcanic Glass) — Origin: Armenia
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when silica-rich lava cools rapidly, preventing crystal formation and producing a dense amorphous material with highly reflective optical properties.
Armenia contains some of the world’s most historically significant obsidian-bearing volcanic regions, where volcanic glass has been used since antiquity for ceremonial objects, cutting tools and sculptural carving.
In the Obsidianus Pyramis composition, the sharply elevated pyramidal geometry intensifies the reflective behavior of volcanic glass. Silver obsidian reveals flowing metallic-like mineral reflections beneath the polished surface, while mahogany obsidian displays layered reddish-brown volcanic formations with natural tonal movement and mineral depth.

Every ashtray is individually assembled, polished and finished by hand. The production process requires extensive precision work to align the obsidian pyramidal modules with the integrated crystal structure while preserving uninterrupted reflections and exact geometric continuity.
Produced in limited quantities, each piece combines volcanic material rarity, illuminated architectural geometry and collectible craftsmanship within a highly distinctive sculptural cigar object.
