The Matte collection consists of four spinning crystal whiskey glasses distinguished by the contrast between transparent crystal and precisely applied matte decoration. The surface of each glass remains clear, while the frosted pattern introduces a softer visual layer.
 
Every tumbler is formed with a rotating base that allows it to turn on a flat surface. This characteristic motion gives the glass an active presence and changes the appearance of the matte motif as it moves through different angles.
 
Four decorative designs are available within the collection. The set may feature a single repeated design or a personally selected combination, allowing the arrangement to remain consistent or deliberately varied.
 
Each glass holds 320 ml and retains the compact proportions associated with a traditional whiskey tumbler. The broad upper diameter provides space for whiskey served neat, with ice or as a short mixed drink.
 
The interplay between polished transparency and diffused patterning becomes especially visible under changing light. As the tumbler rotates, the matte areas appear to travel across the clear crystal, creating a measured shift between definition and softness.

THE ARTISTRY OF MATERIALS
Clear crystal forms the body of each tumbler, preserving transparency, brilliance and optical depth. The matte pattern is applied as a contrasting finish rather than covering the entire glass.
This difference in surface character gives the material two visual expressions: polished areas transmit light clearly, while the frosted details gently diffuse it. Rotation continually alters the balance between these two effects.

The Matte collection is an original Shtox product manufactured in Germany by Nachtmann.. G.P.Grant has included the collection in its crystal selection in recognition of the patented spinning principle, carefully calibrated balance and distinctive use of matte decoration on clear crystal.
Every glass carries the original Shtox identity and the manufacturer’s markings. Its provenance remains fully visible and unchanged.
