Introducing the Obsidianus Aeterna Type 1, a geometric cigar ashtray carved from natural obsidian and defined by a balanced architectural composition. The object is structured around four precisely aligned segments surrounding a central circular chamber, forming a controlled interaction between geometry, depth and reflection.
Crafted from black obsidian, silver obsidian or mahogany obsidian, the ashtray combines natural volcanic glass with integrated crystal elements and polished brass details. The contrasting linear crystal inlays create a structured visual axis across the composition, emphasizing symmetry and spatial precision.
The circular central chamber introduces depth and visual focus, while the four cigar rests are integrated directly into the geometric structure, preserving continuity and proportion throughout the object.

Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed through the rapid cooling of lava, creating a dense material with a reflective surface and deep visual character.
Armenian obsidian is recognized for its purity, sharp structure and distinctive mineral patterns. Depending on the variety, the surface reveals dense black tones, silver directional reflections or layered mahogany-brown mineral formations.
Used since antiquity for ceremonial objects, carving and ornamentation, obsidian remains one of the most architecturally expressive natural materials.
