TOBACCO

Our meticulously crafted, entirely handmade cigars consist of three distinct types of tobacco leaves, each contributing to the smoking experience and flavor profile:

Capa (Wrapper): The outermost layer of the cigar, known as the wrapper, plays a pivotal role in influencing the overall taste and aroma.
Capote (Binder): Beneath the wrapper is the binder, which holds the filler leaves together, contributing to the cigar's construction and combustion.
Fortaleza (Filler): The heart of the cigar, the filler, is responsible for the core flavors and strength of the smoke.

Every element of our cigars is meticulously chosen to ensure that we maximize the aroma, taste, and oil content in our tobacco.

We exclusively use high-quality, long-filler tobacco aged for a minimum of 4 to 7 years, primarily sourced from the renowned plantations of the Kelner and Reyes families. In addition to these, we incorporate select tobaccos from Nicaragua, Ecuador, and other premium sources to further enhance the complexity and richness of our cigars.

PROCESSING AND BLENDING

While processing methods can vary between different factories, at Zaven by G.P.Grant, our mantra is care and professionalism. The cornerstone of our production process is professional fermentation, a crucial step in crafting our exceptional products.

The curing and subsequent aging of our tobacco are carried out using entirely natural processes, allowing for the creation of the intricate compounds that give Zaven by G.P.Grant Cigars their distinctive character.

We refrain from incorporating artificial "flavors" into our premium tobacco. Some of our cigars undergo an extended aging process, lasting for several months, while our tobacco itself is aged for a minimum of 4-7 years.

All our cigars are meticulously developed and blended in collaboration with the renowned master blender, Hendrik "Henke" Kelner. With a legacy of over 30 years overseeing the quality and flavor of Avo Uvezian and Davidoff cigars, Henke Kelner brings his expertise to ensure the excellence of our products.

This is where the enchantment unfolds. Guided by our "Quality over Quantity" philosophy, our skilled rollers receive precise instructions regarding the daily quota of cigars to be meticulously handcrafted.

PRODUCTION

While the quality of the tobacco used is undoubtedly vital, our commitment to excellence goes beyond sourcing the finest tobacco. The cigar-making process is a fundamental determinant of the ultimate quality of a specific cigar. If a cigar is under-filled, it may draw easily but burn too quickly, resulting in a hot and harsh smoke.

Conversely, an over-filled cigar can be challenging to draw from. Achieving the perfect balance consistently is what sets a brand apart from the rest.

Hence, our guiding principle at Zaven by G.P.Grant Cigars is "QUALITY OVER QUANTITY," and we firmly reject the notion of mass-producing cigars. As a result, our production is STRONGLY LIMITED EDITION.

Our production and quality control processes are conducted in collaboration with Davtian Cigars, and our production facility is entirely handcrafted, based in the Dominican Republic. MASTERS

While the art of cigar-making begins in the tobacco fields, the true magic occurs under the expert hands of our seasoned Master Rollers at Zaven by G.P.Grant Cigars.

Our team comprises Third and Fourth generation blend masters and rollers, individuals with a deep-seated passion for their craft. They skillfully hand-press and delicately fold the tobacco leaves to create the high-quality, entirely handmade Zaven by G.P.Grant Cigar.

These highly trained professionals hail from families with generations of rollers, each carrying with them a rich family history, invaluable expertise, and closely guarded trade secrets—wisdom rarely found outside this traditional region. Our master craftsmen have dedicated a lifetime to their art, honing their skills while working alongside some of the most renowned cigar fabricas.
