ntroducing the Obsidianus Aeterna Type 2, an architectural cigar ashtray distinguished by its sculptural recessed diamond chamber framed by four precisely machined obsidian blocks. Unlike the circular composition of Type 1, Type 2 is built around a faceted geometric cavity that creates a stronger sense of depth, symmetry and spatial tension.
Crafted from natural black obsidian, silver obsidian or mahogany obsidian, the ashtray combines volcanic glass with crystal inserts and polished brass detailing. The intersecting crystal lines form a precise geometric grid within the recessed chamber, producing a striking contrast between the reflective crystal, deep obsidian and warm metallic accents.
The four sculpted cigar rests emerge naturally from the surrounding monolithic blocks, creating a seamless transition between functional elements and architectural form. Every surface is carefully polished to emphasize the natural character of the stone while preserving the clean geometry of the composition.
Designed as both a premium cigar accessory and a collectible sculptural object, Obsidianus Aeterna Type 2 expresses a contemporary interpretation of luxury through natural materials, precision engineering and timeless geometric design.
Obsidianus Aeterna Type 2 is defined by a recessed diamond-shaped chamber carved into four monolithic obsidian blocks. Natural obsidian, crystal and polished brass create a powerful contrast between light, depth and reflection, while the geometric crystal grid becomes the visual focal point of the composition. Four integrated cigar rests are seamlessly incorporated into the architectural structure, combining functionality with sculptural precision.

Obsidian (Volcanic Glass). Origin: Armenia
Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed through the rapid cooling of lava, creating a dense material with exceptional depth, brilliance and a naturally polished appearance.
Armenian obsidian is renowned for its purity, structural integrity and distinctive mineral character. Depending on the selected variety, the stone displays intense black depth, shimmering silver reflections or rich mahogany formations created by natural mineral inclusions.
Each block is individually selected, precision-machined and hand-polished to reveal the unique visual identity of the stone, making every ashtray naturally one of a kind.

Every Type 2 ashtray is assembled from individually manufactured obsidian components combined with crystal and brass elements through an extensive process of cutting, fitting, polishing and hand finishing. The recessed diamond chamber, intersecting crystal structure and monolithic construction create an object that functions equally as a luxury cigar ashtray and a collectible design piece.
Produced in limited quantities, each Obsidianus Aeterna Type 2 reflects the exclusivity of natural Armenian obsidian and the precision of contemporary architectural craftsmanship.
